GENERAL MUSIC TEACHER JOB DESCRIPTION

QUALIFICATIONS:

Energetic and flexible person to teach General Music to classes of students Kindergarten through 5th grade and/or 7th and 8th grade in the public and private schools. Requires team leadership approach with teachers, senior staff, and site administrators. A knowledge of classroom management, music curriculum and attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare and deliver Academy Curriculum
• Follow classroom management procedures
• Follow schedule and format for performance
• Work responsibly with young children
• Evaluate students Quarterly
• Attend team teacher meetings
• Attend teacher training workshops when necessary

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Reports to Site Administrator; part time to possible full time position. Presenting Academy curriculum as a team teacher to classes of students at contracted sites.
