The West Bay Music Academy is capable of providing all personnel necessary to support your music curriculum and program needs. We ensure the highest quality student music educational services by providing your facility with a dedicated team of professionals who service in their area of expertise.

All personnel working for The West Bay Music Academy meet one or more of the following criteria:

General Music Programs:

• Trained as primary Music Specialists (pre school to fifth grade)
• Trained as Middle School Music Specialists ( sixth through eighth grade)
• Trained as High School Music Specialists (ninth through twelfth grade)
• Orff Specialists receive certification in Orff training
• All teachers have received a minimum of a Bachelors degree from a College or University
• All teachers have been screened with police report on file at the academy
• Academy provides workers Compensation insurance, liability policy to $100,000,000
• All teachers attend workshops, conferences and monthly music meetings to discuss program and curriculum
• All teachers on staff are monitored and evaluated by an academy supervisor

Independent Contractors:

Instrumental programs and workshops may be staffed with specialists under the category of Independent contractors. These teachers adhere to the same structural teaching format as the General music teachers. The Independent contractors have the freedom to create the best curriculum guidelines for the individual classes as they are specialists in their area of expertise.

 

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

The West Bay Music Academy is growing! We are seeking qualified music specialists to teach on site in the Bay Area schools with music programs. The Academy needs qualified Music Teachers in the following areas: Instrumental class teachers, General Music k-8, Pre-School Music, Vocal Music, and Workshops. Some of our workshops may include: Handbells, African Drumming, Jazz Band, Piano, Music Theory, Small Ensemble, Choir, etc.

The hours are part time before, during, and after the regular school day. Part time work may eventually expand to full time employment as the Academy grows. The Academy pays competitive salaries for General Music and hourly rates for Instrumental classes.
